Changing your password for your Apple ID if you know it is easy:
Follow these steps to change your Apple ID password.
The next time you use an Apple feature or service that uses Apple ID, you'll be asked to sign in with your new Apple ID password.
If you don't know what your password is currently, you'll need to know which situation applies to you:
If you know the answers to your security questions
If you have access to the email addresses associated with your Apple ID
If you have two-step verification turned on
If you don't have your Recovery Key or are unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the instructions for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
If you don't have access to the email on file and/or don't know your security answers and/or don't have the device or code associated with two-step verification, please call AppleCare at 800-692-7753.
You will need to verify your identity using two separate pieces of information which will vary depending on your account, but after verifying your identity you will be able to have a password reset email sent to you within 24 hours.
If you can't remember your Apple ID Password, or want to change it, use the password retrieval process at My Apple ID. Follow these steps to change your Apple ID Password:
1) Go to My Apple ID and click Reset your password.
2) On the next page, enter your Apple ID Name and click Next.
3) Authenticate by email or by answering the security question.
4) By following the emailed link or answering the security question, you'll be presented the option to reset your Apple ID password.

good day i got a ipad but it seems to be lock previous owner say he cant remember his id or passwoord and ipad is lock due to being on find my apple no it is useless any recomendations please
Desiree: the only way to unlock the device is either with the correct Apple ID and password, or to submit a copy of the original proof of purchase to AppleCare. If one of these two things cannot be done, the unit is indeed useless and I recommend contacting the seller for a refund / exchange. Alternatively if you can work with the previous owner, the previous owner can contact AppleCare for assistance in identifying his/her Apple ID and resetting the Apple ID's password.
