Afterglow Wireless Headset Blue Flashing mic light

My Afterglow Wireless Headset wont turn off and the microphone light keeps blinking blue. I have tried to wait it out with the battery drain method but when I try to charge it, it just starts blinking blue again. Any help? It started when I was gaming on my XBOX 360 then I heard buzzing then it started flashing blue and it wont stop. The power button does nothing and neither does the mode button. If there is any way to fix this, I will try it. Thanks!

To turn it off press the power button once. To test it you can press the power button, it should blink twice again. Obviously to turn it off again just press the power button.

I think its the mute key. Not sure though haven't used on a console.

Hope this helps

I have the same problem. i am worried. i was playing counter strike and we finished. everybody was congratulating. shortly after a loud beep a bit lower pitch than the turning of and on noise that the headset makes. i turned it on and off. the only thing that stopped the beep was to mute the mic. fiddles with the 2 buttons, the light dimmed greatly and the mic started blinking blue. if you are able to find any way to fix it please contact me on skype : Sassy_Sasquach. Thanks!

SOURCE: The headset keeps blinking a red light

I had this very same issue which was remedied when I unplugged the headset recharging dock for approximately 5 seconds then plugged it back in. After about 10 seconds everything re-synced and was fine after that. -No more blinking.

Why does my Afterglow prismatic microphone work at certain lengths?

A lot of the wireless headsets work on a smaller scale than things like bluetooth devices and require you to be closer to the transmitter, but if it's still under warranty it wouldn't be a bad idea to take it in and see what they say about it.

Why Won't My AfterGlow PDP Universal Headset Turn On And Stop Flashing Blue?

Have you replaced the battery? All of those symptoms are common battery issues. Even having the headset on the charger will not provide enough power if the battery is bad.

Controller giving feedback?

If you are not using a microphone, then you are not the feedback source.
That being said, a blue-tooth headset still qualifies as a microphone, and is capable of generating feedback.

If using blue-tooth, then switch to a standard wired headset to determine if the feedback diminishes.

Regardless of headset type, be sure to have game chatter through the headset only setting as opposed to through the TV speakers, and keep the TV turned down. There will be an obvious lag between TV speaker and headset microphone which can create a feedback loop.

If other gamers can hear your TV when you are talking, then the TV output is too loud and will create feedback opportunities.

If none of the above applies, then the feedback is generated elsewhere.

Hope this helps!

Ps3 afterglow bluetooth flashes red and blue and wont let me talk, what do i do?

When the afterglow headset flashes from red to blue, it is in pairing state, youve held the power too long after power-on. Shut it off again and turn it back on and dont hold the power button untill it flashes red to blue. The directions provoded with it aare quite easy to follow. Took me 30 seconds to set mine up

How do i place a h555 motorola bluetooyh in pairing mode

Step A - ENSURE HEADSET IS IN PAIRING
MODE
Power on headset by sliding the Call button
towards the microphone to initiate easy
pairing. After a few moments, the indicator
light will be steadily lit in blue to indicate
headset is in pairing mode.
Step B - SET YOUR PHONE TO LOOK FOR
YOUR HEADSET
On your Motorola phone, press (Menu) >
Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Link >
Handsfree > Look for Devices.
The phone lists Bluetooth devices it finds.
Select Motorola H555.
Select OK or Yes to pair your headset with
your phone.
Enter the passkey: 0000
Select OK.
When your headset successfully pairs and
connects with your phone, the indicator light
changes from steadily lit to flashing blue.

Troubleshooting: Make sure that any devices previously pairedwith the headset are turned off. If the indicator
light is not steadily lit in blue, turn off both the
other device and headset, wait 10 seconds,
then turn headset back on. Wait for the indicator
light to become steadily lit in blue, indicating
the headset is now in pairing mode.

Plantronics voyager 510 headset

Make sure the headpiece is charged. Turn the headpiece off by pressing the little black button on top of the earpiece and holding for about 5 seconds. Turn the earpiece back on again the same way. You should have a slow flashing blue light on the mic boom. The base station will now try to find the earpiece and within about 20 seconds the red light on the base should be steady and blue light on top should be on.
If this doesn't work you may need to manually pair the earpiece to the base by pressing and holding the Listen Volume Adjust + Button and headset Call Control Button on the earpiece until the light on the mic boom flashes red and blue repeatedly. As above, the base station will now try to find the earpiece and within about 20 seconds the red light on the base should be steady and blue light on top should be on.

Blue Tooth

PUT HEADSET IN PAIRING MODE

1. Ensure the headset is turned off (indicator light not blinking and headset boom is closed)
2. Press and hold the Call button. After about 4 or 5 seconds, the indicator light becomes steadily lit in magenta
3. Release the Call button and immediately open the headset boom. The indicator light remains lit in magenta.

If the indicator light is flashing in blue or not steadily lit when opening the headset boom, repeat steps 1 through 3
