Kenmore HE3T Out of balance during spin. It doesn't matter if it is in extra-high or extra-low spin mode it still wobbles and knocks things off the top of the machine. No whining noise, just what is clearly an out of balance condition. Large load or small load, same problem. It seems to be getting worse (once only in extra-high spin, and now all spin modes). Any advice will be much appreciated. I would like to attempt to repair this machine as it's my daughter's but I am from out of town and may not have time to wait for parts. Thanks in advance. My washer is a front load and knocks during the spin cycle. I have leveled her a nd also taken off the back panel and the springs and struts appear to be fine. I have only had this unit for three years. Where do you go from here?
I had a Fridadaire model and had the same problem. It could be 3 things. 1- the weight came loose that balances the drum. 2- the bracket that is attached to the drum could have cracked. 3. the bearings to the drum have worn out. All of these problems involve taking the washer completely apart. This is big process, but if you have time and patience it worth it.
Is this model belt driven?
One more thing it could be. Look to see if you washer has springs holding the top of the drum and on the bottom of the drum there should be an absorber on each side. See if any of these have came loose.

Yes it is belt driven. I have the front panel off and ran the unit. It's start off fine on spin cycle than as it increases in speed its still knocks. The knock seems to be coming from the drum weights.
