The htc g1 camera takes pictures with a messed up color scheme

Everytime I open the camera app, the picture is horrible quality. The colors are only red, blue, yellow. Here's a link to a pic i took with the phone. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v692/kawaiixingxing/?action=view¤t=1237449610014.jpg I have no idea how to fix this. It was fine, then one day it turned out like this. Thank you again for your time the color scheme is all messed up when i take a photo with my g-1. don't know what happened. it was fine for a while then one day i just noticed it was all overexposed and the colors were weird.

Dude, just data wipe ur phone by first turning it off,

2) press home and off button at same time time until your phone vibrates

3) when a screen pops up, press alt then L, then read the instuctions and so watever is says to wipe the phone

4) reboot

and yes, this will erase all your apps, but not the files on your sd card.

this reset is made to fix all software problems going on in the phone

You probably turned on the solarization filter by accident

SOURCE: The htc g1 camera takes pictures with a messed up color scheme

I'm pretty sure it's a defective CCD sensor inside the phone, especially if the image has an overexposed look and the shapes of objects appear distorted. If you can't get a replacement under warranty there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, If you try a self-repair make sure you feel comfortable with opening devices that are not meant to be user serviceable.

In pictures format where does the sd card go for the tmobile htc G1 phone

Hi Elizabeth617,
Here's how you access the pictures from your SD card:
  • Connect your G1 to your computer via USB
  • Pull down the notification menu and select "USB connected: Select to copy files to/from your computer."
  • "Turn on USB storage"
  • Now open your phone in a folder on your computer
  • You will see a folder that says DCIM (This is where your pictures are stored)
  • Open DCIM and view the pictures in the folder Camera

G1 Pictures Messaging

It should be picture size issue. -Take a Picture -Open the picture in the picture browser
-Crop the picture (Can select the entire picture if so desired)
-Save
-Send the newly cropped picture in an MMS . Downsizing the image to 50-60kb. . should work.

Can someone take a picture of the original video settings on their Zenith B25A24Z 25'' TV because my screen is all messed up and doesnt get much better when i play with settings.

If this TV is a 25"...then this is an older set. Is the picture dim and the colors dim, will the tint not correct the color scheme? Zenith picture tubes, as a rule, for this model go bad...sorry but this is true!

Picture has horizontal areas or differant colors and distortions

It sounds like the processor for the camera is messing up the picture. I suggest that you take the camera in to a Wolf Camera or any other camera oriented store

Poor image quality

hotoPC 650 captures images in 24-bit color (16.7 million colors). Your pictures will not display maximum image quality if your monitor or computer's video controller doesn't support this color depth. Additionally, if your pictures are taken in 1154 x 864 mode, try increasing your video resolution above 640 x 480. You may need to upgrade your system to achieve the best possible image quality. If your pictures look better on the screen than when you print them out, you may need to upgrade your printer. An EPSON Stylus ink jet printer, for example, provides excellent image quality. If you used drag and drop to insert your pictures, they may appear grainy. Try importing them into your documents instead.
