Depends on what light u are referring too,yell blinking lite, means one of the motors or both are disengaged underneath chair in the front press both levers to the rear and see if that works

You need to have the battery load tested. Sometimes cells will fail or they have enough volts, but not enough amps. Interstate Battery Outlets will do it free of charge and it takes 2 minutes..

Lets make sure this is just the joystick lock mode. When you turn the chair on and it is in joystick lock mode all the battery level lights will chase across several times and then the joystick will turn off.
When you turn the chair on and you see the battery level lights chasing from right to left push and hold down the power button till the lights turn off. Only the first year that the M41 was made had this option.
If your M41 has the mark V controller that is seen pictured in the stock photo you provided, the 5 flash code is a left park brake fault.
1. Turn off the chair.
2.Disengage the left motor (levers are located in front under the seat) roll the chair back and forth and re-engage the left motor.
3. Engage the left motor.
4. Turn on chair.
If you happen to have the older Mark IV controller (has a toggle switch to turn on/off and three battery lights), the 5 flash code means the chair is receiving high or low voltage from the batteries. I would recommend having the batteries checked.
Look at the joystick when the chair stops. The battery level lights should be blinking a certain number of them repeatedly. The lights are a diagnostic code. The number of the battery level lights blinking will tell you if you have a motor, joystick, module or battery problem.
The yellow wrench is a diagnostic tool. How many times does it blink between pauses. Example might be 3 blinks then pause then 3 blinks then pause, over and over. Hoe many does your chair blink?

Have you replaced the batteries ever? I was told by my local Invacare vendor that the batteries are only good for 12-18 months. My mom's Pronto M41 was having battery problems and replacing both batteries solved the problem in her chair bought in 2007. Now she is looking to buy a slightly used chair (4 mos old) from the family of a deceased friend and there seem to be issues with the batteries in this almost-new chair.
Hi I would invest in some new batteries ...if they have been in the chair for 3 years without charging them they r no good :::::: when batteries sit 4 a long period a coating forms on. The cells .when this happens they will never charge properly again ..cheers
Are there any blinking lights? The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is.

Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem. Check all of your connections to ensure nothing has come loose. Ensure your batteries are not damaged and fully charged and that the fuses are good. If a power chair has been stored for a while the charger may indicate a full charge but the batteries are full of oxidized crud instead of power and need to be replaced.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer
for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they
may also cover the cost of repairs.
