My e machine computer will just shut off after 5 or 10 min.,

I had an Emachines W3609 that did the same thing, I changed the 350-watt power supply with a 550-watt and it still shut off, even using the newer one. I thought just the first one was bad but I guess not. It had more than enough power to power it up but nothing. And it used to randomly restart at times and then just shut off. Try and get a new hard drive maybe that will help. Good luck!

I press the power off button and it doesn't power off

You should never power down by pressing the power button unless your system is deadlocked and won't respond to any other actions. Powering off in this fashion can cause you to lose data, corrupt files, and improperly shut down Windows.

Nonetheless, if you are in need of shutting down the laptop in this fashion you must hold the power button instead of only pressing it. You'll find this in the power settings of the device. Honestly, the power button may even be set to do nothing, which is possible.

To properly shut down your new Pavilion laptop, which should be running Windows 7, follow this process: Click Start > Shut Down

Start is now simply a circular Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and shut down has an arrow pointing down next to it. Click the words shut down instead of the arrow which will bring up other power save options.

When I shut down my computer, I think that it is shutting down completly. All lights are off indicating that it is shut down. Then a small blue window will appear and will say "Entering Power Safe Mode"....

If you are turning off your computer by pressing the front panel power button, it is probably just putting Windows to sleep but not shutting the computer off. If your computer has Windows Vista, the default is to hibernate and not shut down even if you shut down through Vista. The "power save" message you see is coming from the monitor, which is letting you know it isn't getting a signal from the computer anymore but the power is still on. Windows will start up again from sleep mode if someone or something moves the mouse or presses a key.

The solution is to make sure the computer is actually shut down. In Vista you can do this by clicking the arrow near the power icon on the Start menu. This gives you the option of shutting down instead of hibernating. In XP, shut the computer down using the start menu shutdown option instead of the computer power button. Then the power will shut down completely.

Canon imageRUNNER C2058 color network printer board-B1 only. Upon power up the display screen indicates "Wait...".

The printer Board B1: you must shut it down by hitting the Options button and then selecting Function >Shut down > Shut down sytem>OK. Then power the machine off with the main switch. If the Customer has not been shutting off the machine properly and you get the please wait message you might try reloading system software first before replacing the hard drive.
Or = remove and reseat the printer board, if that doesn't work then you'll have to reformat the HDD unit and reload system software from a laptop. If the problem remains, the printer board may need to be replaced.

The Color Network Printer Board -B1 has a shut down function. It is for preventing corruption of the HDD. Be sure to turn off the main power switch after performing shutdown.
To properly shut down the Color Network Printer Board -B1:
1. Press the Option key on the control panel if the copier is in copier mode.
2. Make sure that the LCD reads Idle.
3. Select Functions on the LCD.
4. Select Shut Down from the Functions screen.
5. Select Shut Down System from the Shut Down screen.
6. The message 'It is now safe to power off the system' appears on the screen.
7. Power off the main power switch located on the lower right side of the copier.
* Note- After powering off the copier, wait at least five seconds before powering the copier back on.

Acerpower SV PC will Not turn off

More information would help to resolve this issue.

Are you shutting down by selecting Start and shutdown or have you tried pushing the power button on push (not holding the power button)?

Try this:
Press and hold the power button in solidly for about 10 seconds. If it shuts down before you get to 10 just let off the power button. This should work, but may not solve the problem.

If you reboot it and still can not shut down from Windows, hold power button until it shuts down, unplug the power cord and disconnect everything from the computer other than the keyboard, mouse and monitor. With the power plug still unplugged, hold the power button in for about 15 seconds (this resets the power supply and can clear a corrupt BIOS).

Reconnect power and after booting, see if you can shut down from Windows.

If still no go, click Start, Programs, Accessories, System tools and select System Restore.

Follow the prompts and select a bold date back to a time before you had problems shutting down. That should do the trick.

Let me know if you get it fixed or if you need more advice.
