SOURCE: outside temp stuck on -40

when its at -40 usually its because the ambient temp sensor is not sending the proper signal to the controller.. it may just be disconnected.. the sensor it behind the grille.. it has a 2 wire connector to it ... itf its connected it may havea broken wire from body damage in an accident... its rare that the sensor fails..

Jandy Hand held reads the wrong wrong pool temperatrure

the chlorine generator is giving you a correct readout of your pool temp. however, your water temp sensor is bad. if you look at your filter pump, follow the pipe coming from the top of the pipe, until you see a metal clamp. withthe system off, remove the clamp and pul out the sensor from the pipe and replace with a new 10k ohm temp sensor. NOTE: Older Jandy systems used black temp sensors, the new sensor may be slightly larger. use a masonry drill bit to bevel the old hole out for the new sensor, and replace the wires.

Climate control display for Outside temperature

Had the same problem, replaced the ambient air temp sensor in front of the radiator. Cost is like 10-15 bucks. Don't worry if temp doesn't change right away. Took me about 5 miles and then it worked great.

Outside temp sensor does not work on 1995 olds aurora

You can buy a replacement ambient air temp sensor at an auto parts store for about $10. Its as simple to change as a light bulb and can be found behind your front bumper at the base of the radiator.

When I change the temp. setting it keeps heating at original temp

The keypad appears to working correctly.

When you alter the set temperature via the keypad the display will flash the temperature thats to be acheived, once it stops flashing the keypad will revert back to the current temperature of the water.

Hope that helps,
Ian.

The Thermostat Wizard is an interactive tool that will guide you through wiring and troubleshooting your thermostat, as well as programming it to the most comfortable settings for you and your family. Simply answer the questions from the Thermostat Wizard to correctly connect, troubleshoot and/or program your Honeywell Thermostat. You can even print the instructions and bring them right to the thermostat to help make things easier.
Go to: http://yourhome.honeywell.com/Consumer/Cultures/en-US/Support/Thermostat+Wizard/

However - the problem is probably not with your thermostat but with your furnace. It is most likely a dirty flame sensor - a maintenance issue. If you have not had your furnace serviced recently (more than 1 year) that is where you should start. Modern furnaces require regular maintenance.
