I have an older model Panasonic Digital phone stuck on DND

Hi,

I have an older model Digital Panasonic Phone, Is has no ID or Model number That any of us can find. The DND is stuck on (there is no separate button for it) and i can no longer hear the phone ring. I have tried the code *7100 that every one recommends...but to no avail. The Manual was lost long before I ended up with this phone. Help!

Even the older Panasonic phones had numbers stenciled in the plastic, but it's immaterial because the programming is in the cabinet. Since you can't find it, this is just a shot in the dark. Try 710#, 7100, 70#, or just try pressing the FWD button and dialing ZERO.

Panasonic Digital Model KX-T723OE The key FWD/DND

I'm guessing that you didn't mention that the phone doesn't work, it must be in FWD mode. You can cancel CF, or get someone to go into 990 area 9 bit 3&4 and reverse the bits so it will be solid on FWD and flashing on DND.

I have an old model of Panasonic PBX system Model D816. I am connecting the main telephone device Panasonix KX-T7730 to Ext. No. 1, this main telephone device has no line and the FWD/DND button light is...

What are the other phones? a 7730 is an analog PITS phone and requires 4 wires to make it work. If you connect it to a digital jack, the data lets it indicate key functions, but there is no voice, and that sounds like what you have. Try taking a 4 pin base cord and plugging directly into port 1 of the 816 and see if everything works. If it does, you have your answer.

In passing, the FWD/DND light will flash if there's a forward or DND condition on the phone. Dialing 7100# from the intercom will clear all FWD/DND conditions, as will pressing the button until nothing lights.

Your delephone reference doesn't mean anything to me.

Fwd and dnd problem

It's supposed to be. That's what forwards unanswered calls to voice mail.

If you need more info, post back with your system model number and the voice mail model.

We want to transfer a call to a phone number (external party). System programming is required. Can you help me? Thanks, Gina

Panasonic KX t7730 call forwarding function to external party:
If you are using the Kx-TA624 pbx (TES 824 models) system, program your phone unit (t7730) as follows: lifet handset, press FWD/DND button, press 3, then the outside line access code, then phone number, then #, then return handset.
If you are using the kx-ta1232 (higher models) of pbx system (usually with 9 or more CO lines cabable, use the following command:
lift handset, press FWD/DND button, press 6, then the outside line access code, then telehone number, then # then return handset to cradle.

How do you cancel

Not knowing what the phone is connected to, the basic Panasonic command for cancelling FWD/DND is 7100/*7100.

As to the ringing, if your phone doesn't start ringing, please post the model number of the cabinet.

FWD/DND - PANASONIC KX-T7130

Don't laugh. Push the button and read the display. It will either unset DND or CF :-).

The 7100 command is part of the sequence to cancel those features on most phone systems and 790 or 79# will reset the extension. Of course it may be different if you have a TDA or TAW box (*7100) or a KX-T xxx10 system.

DND button will not turn off

Depending on how your system is programmed, you might be able to turn it off by pressing it. Otherwise, you might have to press it and dial a code number, which also can vary from one installation to another, but I would try "0"

Otherwise, it can be programatically corrected by your installer if the system got "stuck" or something.

Call diverting

You need to know which phone system you have. Your phone can be used on different Panasonic phone systems that are set up differently.
