Unable to scroll down - txt messaging

Hello Kafshar,

Open the phone and click the Menu button. Note the center keypad above the numerical keys can click up, down, left and right.

Click the center keypad left until you see the "Messaging" option.
Click "New Message."Click "Text Message."


Enter the telephone number of the person (or people) you wish to send the message to. You can also select people from your contact list by clicking "Add" and then clicking "From Contacts." Select the contacts you wish to text by clicking "Mark" and then click "Done" when everyone has been selected.

Click down until you are in the "Text" box. Type in the message you wish to send. Click "Send."

the best thing to do is take out the sim and reinsert it as your phone might have lost some configuration to send/receive a text message. If that doesn't work then your phone company might have erased txt messaging from your plan. Contact them.

There isnt an exact way to add a signature at the end of the txt. In order to do so, you have to create a template with your signature, then insert the template at the end of your txt. However, know that it will count towards the 160 character limit. Instruction from the user manual (pg 38-39) below. Hope it helps!


Message templates
When you often use the same phrases, you can save the message under template messages. Adding the message as a template

1. Press Menu > Messaging > Templates.
2. Press Options > Add New.
3. Write the frequently used message > Options > Save.

Sending a message with template

1. Press Menu > Messaging > Templates.
2. Select the message to send.
3. Edit the message > Options > Send.

note: You can add a template while writing message. Write a message > Options > Add Template. Choose Text or Multimedia and select the message to add.

go to menu, then click on settings, open up the profiles choice..click on edit on the bottom left of screen then scroll down to message sound and select it.. make your tone choice and hit save! done...

If your phone is the pantech Matrix there is no option to insert signature to your txt message. If that is not your phone model let me know what phone you are using and i can tell you if you can insert signature or not.

when you open the text message, you can scroll down, so you ca view the rest of the message :)

when your on the messgage screen where it says no messages on the bottom right or left there should be an option to start a new one. another thing that should work is in your contacts if you click on there name and then click the options button it should give the option to sent txt. some phones are complicated if you find the manual for the phone it should be in there or go to nextels website

Does it show signal bars on the screen and are you able to make/receive calls? If not then that is why. AT&T does not guarantee in building service. If you do have signal and it is working other than text, then check your message center number in the device:

From the standby screen, press Menu.
Press Messaging.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Text Message.
Enter appropriate Message Center Number, then press Done. The message center number that should be there is +13123149810 (and the + sign does need to be in front of it)

to change txt message tone:
go to text message main screen then press the top left button.scroll down to settings and click. then scroll down and ull see "new message alert" and there u go.
to the same for picture messaging.
ring tone:
go to phone
click the top left button
scroll down to settings, then general
scroll down the incoming call. and clik on that and u will have options
