My dell latitude d600 onboard bluethoot just doesn't work, don't even know how to start it up.

I've got this bluethoot led on my dell latitude d600 notebook but I just don't know how to use the onboard bluethoot of my notebook, help me out please.

    Yeah, exactly wot u saio last, thanks 4 d reply, I downloaded some driver dat needed me to turn on the device, it gave me the shotcut but it just won't turn on.

Go to control panel, classic view, bluetooth. self explanitary from there, unless ur dell is like mine and doesnt have the hardware installed!! so youve just got a light that wont do anything

    hardware not software! my dell didnt have the actual bluetooth device in it, i had to order it from dell and install it under the removable panel above the keyboard, dell didnt send any how to install guide, i had to google it

    mine had a shortcut that never worked and still doesnt now ive got bluetooth think it was alt+F3, but forget that if you have a blue&red "B" on ur start bar (bottom right) then just right click on it then select turn on. but if you havnt got a "B" then you have no bluetooth adapter installed

Try flexing the whole bottom assembly. that is with the laptop open put your knee in the middle and grab the unit with one hand on the corner closest to you and the other near the screen and put enough pressure to "flex " the mobo right after you push the start button if it doesn't start try it the other way... this has been working for my grandsons d600 for 6 months. i tried a new switch board because the guy that sold me the mobo said the plug for that is known to crack and that didn't fix it. good luck ps you will know it has worked when the 3 lock lights go out and the power light stays on.

Dell Latitude D600 doesn't boot at all. Not even the BIOS, the LED for CAPS lock flashes then the laptop goes off. Prompt assistance will be appreciated.

Hello Kajos.
I request you to Unplug your NoteBook Battery (Bootom side) and wait for 5mins. Try to connect it again. Also connect the Power Cable.
Switch ON the Notebook, It should work.

Let us know if still its not working!

I SEE A BLUETHOOT ICON IN MY DELL LATITUDE D600

Reboot your computer and tap F2 to enter the setup, in the menu there should be an option for onboard devices. Please ensure that the bluetooth is enabled. Save your changes and reboot.

On off on off on means the battery has failed and needs to be replaced. With the battery removed, the system should run on hte AC adapter

Dell latitude d600 doesn't turn on

The test Dell advises to narrow down this issue is to remove the battery, hard drive, ram, and optical drive.  Next plug in the a/c power cord and you should get some LED's coming on. If not it points to the motherboard.

D800 will not even boot

remove the battery from the system and try to power on the System with the AC adapter connected. its only to check whether the system is receiving the power .

Also press the Fn key holding it down press the power button and release both the buttons , look for the LED codes and do let me know abt it
