HP Officejet 5110 - Carriage Jam Message/but ther is no jam

I have an HP Officejet 5110. I have an error message saying "Open door, clear carriage jam, then press enter". I have opened the door at the back but there is no jam. If I press enter it comes back with the same message I have equal problem as posted by mpjohnso on May 12, 2009: Turn on the power. It says "self check" then "initializing" then "carriage jam open door, remove jam, and press enter." In fact there is no jammed paper or opened door. I¨m thinking about disassembling it to find jam sensor..Possible dirty optocappler if it have some like in old bol mouse ?

Error message= open door clear carriage jam and

I think the message is instructions, as in
(1) open door (2) clear carriage jam (3) press enter
So there is something internal to the printer that makes it think it has a carriage jam, piece of paper under a sensor, dirty or stuck sensor.
If you can't find it using a bright light, try canned air.

yes, that is a carriage jam and not paper, the grinding is from the clean station that gets blocked with dried ink and cant move. you need to open the printer and clean the ink off of the clean station so it can clean properly and not cause a carriage jam.

Carriage Jam

Make sure you can move the print cartridge holder freely and that it isn't being blocked by anything inside the printer, also check if the cleaning station is in the right position, maybe it is locking the cartridges.
