Try to isolate the problem by removing or disconnecting all cards, i.e. video, sound cards and disconnecting CD/DVD and hard drives.

maybe the ac adapter is burned up or outlet bad or the ac jack on computer is bad.

If the blinking light is the power on LED (normally green), then you'll have to disconnect it from power and pull the battery to get it to stop. If you connect it back to power and the amber light blinks right away, or if you connect it to power, press the power button, and the power LED starts blinking amber, then you have a bad motherboard. I see about one every two years....
