BELKIN F5U409 DRIVER - Belkin USB PDA Adapter (F5U109EA) Serial Adapter

Apparently the Belkin F5U109 and the F5U409 use the same chipset. The drivers were originally written by Magic Control Technology. I found a copy of the drivers that are reported to work with Windows 7 here: http://clearchain.com/downloads/Belkin_FU409/
Also I found someone that reported that the drivers for a similar Staples model also worked with Windows 7: http://www.product-support-staples.com/DisplaySKU.aspx?SKU=837560 and click Driver Software.

can you confirm if it is F5U409?
If so the solution would be to install windows vista drivers. in belkin site it says that windows 32bit are compatible with the adapter.

The F5U409 will not work with 64-bit editions of Windows Vista or Windows 7. Most Windows 7 installs are 64 bit.

call belkin and see if they have drive for this device.

in the device manager click on (ports lpt com) double click on belkin usb adapter the properties will open then click advanced ant set the com port. you will find the driver here https://www2.belkin.com/support/product/?lid=en&pid=F5U109&scid=1

hello, No this model is not compatible with Vista 64 bit. its compatible with only 32 bit Vista.
However there is a similar model which is compatible with 64 bit Vista and the model number is F5U257 (USB-to-serial).

Found a driver at www.driverguide.com Register with the site, search for f5u409 and the third one down I think is the Vista driver. Hopefully should solve your problem.

I NEED THE PROGRAM 2 SUPPORT THE ADAPTER..EVERYTHING IN M COMPUTER WAS ERASED AN I LOST IT.
