if you have backlight the problem is t-con if not inverter board

Hold down "INPUT" Button at TV panel, while you press "INFO/A-B" button in your remote.. Or...Hold down "INPUT" Button at TV panel, while you press No.1 chnl on your remote..

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair
catalogs. I know this website reliable-store that i used to buy them from, and they sold online it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.

The menu button is on your remote control, it is located at the bottom of the input button

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.

It seems to be a PSU (Power Supply Unit) problem. When you unplug it and replug, the screen comes on for a moment. That means that the capacitor does not hold charge for long. Open the back and look for bulged or burst capacitors on the module where the power cord meets inside. Replace the whole module if you can not replace the capacitor with exactly the same specs.

the bulb of your tv is dead. replace it

I have researched this problem and it is so common we that own this piece of junk ought to form a class action suit and sue. It is caused by a bad part or bad connections to a part called a backlight inverter. It seems the LCD needs a higher voltage than supplied by the 12vdc power pack so this part re-chops the DC voltage to generate the LCD requirement.

The date of manufacture is on the back of these TVs and all the problems seem to be from those made in 2006 to 2008

HEY EVERYBODY, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM FLAT SCREEN IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD. I CALLED SANYO AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE IS SAFTERY SWITHC IN THE TV THAT PREVENTS IT FROM DAMAGING ANY PARTS AND IT MUST OF BEEN TRIGGERED BY A STORM AOR SOMETHING THEY ARE CONTACTING A SERVICE STORE IN MY AREA AND SENDING THEM A SERVICE TICKET NO CHARGE TO ME
