I have a 2011 kia Sorento that continues to blow the 40 amp ignition fuse under the hood. Replace the fuse...runs a couple days then blows again. We have replace relays and fuses and checked starter..

Starters will still work when worn but will have increased drag drewing too many amps. which will blow your fuses. before replacing older starter first remove all wire connections shiny clean and replace. make certain starter is tight to block(this is your ground. ) Important to remove ground cable from battery before working on starter.

My fuse keeps blowing under dash when I turn my ignition to start car 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police

Make sure what fuse it is first. You might also wanna look at any fuses and fusible links under the hood.

I have a 1999 dodge avenger that keeps blowing the 30amp engine fuse under the hood it only blows the fuse when I crank the ignition checked all the words not sure where to look anymore any suggestion's

If it just keeps blowing it could either be a bad ground somewhere or theres to much power getting pushed to it for some reason when u start it, blowing the fuse

02 Escalade will not start

It will most likely be a poor earth issue, make sure the earth lead between the battery and the body is good and clean and check the one between the body and motor.
Poor earth connections cause excessive current draw and will blow fuses.

Have and older style Poulan rider mower with a 14.5 hp and 42 inch cut. Replaced Battery, starter selenoid, and ignition switch. Now the 30 amp fuse keeps blowing, how come?

disconnect the starter and turn the ignition to see if the fuse blows, if it does not then the starter is grounded, but more then likely there is a stripped/bare wire grounding out somewhere. Hope this helped Tim

THE IGN A FUSE UNDER THE HOOD KEEPS POPPING

You have a serious short. The fuse is keeping you from frying the electrical system. Did you make any changes to the vehicle recently? Is it all stock electrical? If so, check the Ignition relay in the alternate fuse panel. If that does not work, post a reply and I'll help you dig further. Hope this helps

Keep blowing fuses under hood.

REMOVE THE FUSES ONE AT A TIME FOR EACH ITEM ON THE 50 AMP CIRCUIT. I WOULD START WITH THE POWER WINDOW FUSE FIRST. IT WOULD BE THE MOST LIKELY SOURCE OF A HIGH VOLTAGE DRAW. THEN GO ON TO THE WIPERS AND SO FORTH.

Ignition fuel starter fuse keeps blowing and it won't start

Hi, I had the same problem with the same fuse, so me and my friend went to a car shop and asked what could make the ign. fuel starter fuse keep blowing. The guy told us {i'm not lying} to go underneath the car and hit the middle of the gas tank a couple times, and move a bunch of wires underneath the hood. So we went back and hit underneath the gas tank a couple of times and moved and shook every wire under the hood. we the replaced the fuse and what do you know, The car started right up. I hope this helps out with your problem if you didn't fix it already!
