As soon as the pump hits 45 psi it turns off and on causing irregular spray patterns; and pump does not prime itself. Check strainer everything good, hooked garden hose directly to suction side and still same result
Fimco Pump 3.8 gpm 45 psi
Model # 5275017
SOURCE: LAWN SPRAYER PUMP WILL NOT SUCTION
Check the screen in the tank, it very well may be clogged.
SOURCE: I have a Fimco 2.1 gpm pump that worked fine last
clean the checkvalve in the pump with dish soap, and a toothbrush. scrub thoroughly and rinse off. replace and see if that works!
SOURCE: I also have a FIMCO 15 gallon 12 v spot sprayer, won't prime
I use an emulsifier with Round-up to make it stick better to the weeds (Sticky Spreader). The emulsifier had made the solution less viscous and was not moving through the wire mesh filter that comes out of the bottom of the tank. I removed the filter and it works fine. I have a filter in the handle anyway so there is no need for two filters for my application.
SOURCE: Insufficient Pressure From Pump
Take the strainer at the end of the hose on the tank off. Throughly clean it. I used an old tooth brush, then ran hot water through it several times. Also drained the tank and flushed it out 3-4 times with fresh water, then ran fresh water through the pump for several minutes
Hope this helps
