SOURCE: thread is getting stuck around bobbin case in

Try turning your bobbin around, it may be facing the wrong way and it will get caught around the bobbin casing. I had that problem until I turned it around, just the bobbin in the case not the case.

Took my machine apart to clean & oil. Now having concern about how to put hook assembly back together. I have a manual but photo doesn't show enough detail!

This video is about removing the items in the bobbin area to clear thread tangles, but the instructions may help you figure out how to put them back together.

Need help reassembling bobbin area.

You didn't state what model you have, and that makes it tougher to help you.

I'm going to take a guess here that the part that fell out is a silver U shaped part located on the right near the bottom of the bobbin basket (holds the case). If that's the case, it's called a "cushion spring" and can just be reinserted by hand. It is part of the assembly that prevents the case from moving while the thread is unspooling from the bobbin during operation.

My daughter tried to remove a jammed bobbin on my singer machine. The bobbin holding mechanism fell apart. Is there a diagram to show how the parts fit together?

looking straight on at the area where assembly goes, First clean and oil area, the jam was likely caused by accumulated dust or a small piece of thread . You should have three pieces, four including the bobbin itself. first piece to be replaced has a center post this piece goes into the machine by fitting it to the bobbin area, it will only go in one way so when it fits into place you will know. the next piece is a ring this piece has a small piece of metal attached to the top when looking at it correctly the two screws will be on top and there should be two indentions. first one is at 3 oclock and the other is at 9 oclock fit this piece into machine and there should be a lever on either side that turns around and rests in to indentions. replace your bobbin in the bobbin case ,be sure to thread the case correctly and load into newly assembled bobbin area making sure that it clicks into pplace

Installing the hook and bobbin assembly.

The plastic bobbin case should sit on top of the raceway, it should slot in quite easily, once the bobbin case is in put the small metal clip at the top over to hold it in place.
