Konica magicolor 2430DL network dhcp doesn't pick up right address

I have a 2430DL for 7 years, used to change the IP address of the printer in my XP settings when printer or router was reset. Now I bought a 2nd hand 2430DL because my 2430DL got a fuser error which I couldn't resolve (till today) . This 2nd printer was on DHCP and had IP address 169.254.66.200 (assigned by former owner I think) with subnet mask 255.255.0.0 and for the gateway all zero's. Afaik strange combination. Now I disabled DHCP on the printer (DHCP and BOOTP off) and gave it the for my situation normal and usable address of 192.168.2.8 sm: 255.255.255.0 and the only correct gateway: 192.168.2.1 . No joy and as from start the usually green light near the network cable was irragularly blinking orange. I also assigned the printers mac address in the router with port 192 168.2.8 without result. Printer remained absent in the network .. Printer back to DHCP and again a strange IP address with two zero's subnet mask and zero's for the gateway showed up. I also reset according the printer menu to default settings... and again no result... The ip address might be picked up from somewhere else if it was a wireless connections, but it's wired. Maybe it's a fault in the printer program ? in the network hardware part ? Kind regards from the Netherlands...

Just installed printer and drivers via a network connection for Vista 32bit. I did this per the instructions Provided by Konica at ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/manuals/misc/km_vista...

I presume that the IP Address in the instruction is just an example IP Address. I don't know if your printer is connected to a router or to a Hub or Switch, but your printer's IP Address should depend on the device that provides the IP Address and the example is router. The first 3 octet of the Printer should be the same as the router's. So the setup should be router->printer then router->computer.

Need small plastic piece for Konica Minolta Magicolor 2430dl

The part is probably one of the envelope levers. This is part of the Fusing unit which comes as a complete assembly. Individual parts are not normally available separately.

I have just purchased a 4650EN Magicolor printer Aand want to know how to set it to work on a home network

Does the printer have an ethernet port? If so, just cable it into the network hub / switch. If you use a private network, and the printer was previously used, in a private or public network, then you will likely have to reset the static IP address of the printer. If the printer is new, then it may get an IP address from your DHCP Server. At some point, I recommend you give the printer a static IP address within your IP range, but outside the normal assignment range of the DHCP server to prevent conflicts.

If not, you can connect it via a parallel port to one of the computer systems currently on the network, and then set it as a shared device.

Open the top cover. Remove the drum (part with long green handle). Below the drum you will see a strip of glass about 4-5 inches long. Take a cloth and wipe across the glass.

This will normally clear up any white lines in your print.

Unable to use printer over network with Server 2003 64Bit

Probably the best and easiest solution for your problem would be to buy an EDIMAX USB-Ethernet print server, or something equivalent. I have several of these running on the network at work. They're easy to setup and they work great.

IP Change

When you see DHCP and it asks you if you want to use it and you say no, it should prompt you for Manual settings. Try it
