I have the space ship looking YL diffuser. It's been in a closet for a couple of years. I went to use it today and realized the power cable for it is one I think I threw out with another device. I tried a portable hard drive one. The lights come on and theres rippling in the water. However, the fan isn't working and there isn't any mist. I'm not sure if it's due to incompatible power plug, or the fan. It doesn't have visible build-up, and it was working when I put it away 2 years ago. If it's the fan, suggestions on getting it fixed, or doing it myself? If incompatible power plug, suggestions on how to locate the correct one?
That unit takes a 24 volt power supply. That is probably higher than what you have connected to it. http://www.youngliving.com/oil-diffusers/Home-Diffuser-US
You're right. I have now identified that my unit takes 24volt & 750mA (or 18w) DC, positive polarity in. Now I need to figure out what size pin it takes. 2.1 or 2.5mm. Young Living "suggested" I buy a newer model, when I chatted with their HQ, so thank you for a more helpful answer Brad. :-)
BTW - I had only 12v connected.
Go to radio shack or best buy and take it with you. They can help find one
Thank you much Brad, will do. :-)
