On my sylvania lc320ss8 lcd tv the red standby light switches to the green flashing power up light then switches back to the red standby light and wont turn on i have this same problem! the red standby light is on, will flash green as if it's about to turn on and then goes back to red! anyone have any answers?! help please!! i just got this tv like 3 months ago...
SOURCE: WONT TURN ON
Most likely, the problem is a defective Main Processor Board. This is the board with the antenna, RCA and HDMI plugs. You cant repair or replace component parts on this board, so dont even try. You must replace the complete board. The TV says Sylvania, but it is a bloody Funia TV. Several years ago this foreign company bought out broke-azzz Sylvania . They are still carrying the Sylvania name since Sylvania was a popular TV name in the 70s. Every electronic company in the USA is now owned by the Chinese, so call Funai and order the part from them. Dont be surprise if they dont have a clue what the heck you asking for. America and all electronics have gone to the puddles. Do you know why? GREED.
SOURCE: I have looked for blown capacitors on my Sylvania
It can be bad power supply or It tries to power up but goes into shutdown this will happen if it detects over current draw, so it shuts off to protect itself.
You can try replacing power supply or troubleshoot it first to find out where the problem is.
You can try disconnecting the power cables going to the backlights inverter board first to see if the TV will turn on since the inverter boards draw the most current from power supply.
