Hi, I will try to help you. I am hoping it is not the timing but let's try this:
1. insert a new needle 80/12, flat side facing away, of course.
2. Use a cotton or something not too heavy to test it.
3. Make sure that the feed dog is feeding the fabric not being forced.
4. remember to make sure that the needle is inserted all of the way up in the shaft.
5. Clean it, thoroughly by taking off the face plate under the needle with a screw driver because it can get jammed up with lint and cause breakage. You cannot always get it with just brushing out the bobbin area. Mine had so much it looked like a piece of felt because I didn't know about doing that until some dear sweet soul told me.Now oil it according to your manual.
Sometimes, it is in the threading, bent needle or a burr in the face plate hole where the needle goes. If, you need a copy of your manual, I happen to have one that I would be glad to email you for no charge. My sister in law has the same machine and her buttonhole sizing does not work.
