I have a hp 1070d dvd writer. all of a sudden my dvd does not read n e dvd inserted. its says blank dvd...i deleted the upper filter n lower filter....after doing dis 10% of my dvd's can run....bt still hav the problem
Uninstall in devise manager,reinstall.
if doesnt work unplug data cable to writer, startup and make sure the drive is un installed.If vista go to my computer right click on drive select properties select hardware double click on drive in window select driver, select uninstall check the box to remove drivers from computer perm. then turn off computer re attach data transfer cable to drive and restart.your drivers sound like they are corrupt and if they are not removed from system the os will continue to install same corrupt driver.you may need system disk or just go to hp for new drivers after uninstall
Have you tried reinstalling the dvd drivers?
I would try that and see if it works.
also make sure you set to the proper region for your dvd's
you can only change the region a couple times so go easy.
