How do you get rid of demo mode (loop). Its so annoying as every time I press return it goes away and them appears on the screen, dominating the tv programme. There are four different displays it brings up. It says left side is motion flow on and Right side is motion off. Then it displays all of its features. Then it says Demo Mode (loop), live colour / On (left side of screen) and Off right side of screen). I cant turn it off. Is my television faulty. I have spent ages trying to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Janice

Hi there,
Your TV is stuck in shop / demo mode. To exit this mode you will need to restore the TV to factory defaults then run through the initial setup again. Please follow the instructions below to restore the TV to factory default settings:
1. Press the HOME key on the Sony remote to open the menu / XMB
2. Use the arrow keys to highlight SETTINGS (the toolbox), then SETUP and press the + key (in the centre of the arrows) to enter the SETUP menu
3. Use the DOWN arrow to highlight FACTORY SETTINGS and press the + key
(FACTORY SETTINGS may not be immediately visible in this menu,, so keep pressing the down arrow until you can see it and it's highlighted, then press +). You will be asked to confirm that you want to restore the factory settings.
4. Highlight YES (yellow is the higlight colour) and press the + key
5. If asked to confirm the reset again, highlight OK and press the + key
The TV will now be restored to the factory settings and you will need to run through the initial setup again. Use the arrow keys and the + key to select your LANGUAGE, COUNTRY, then LOCATION. On the location screen, make sure you select HOME - if you select SHOP, the TV will be in demo mode again after completing the setup.
On the AUTO-TUNING screen, you can select SKIP as your stored channels are not deleted during the factory reset.
Hope this helps. Unfortunately, while it's possible to enter shop mode accidentally using the remote control, to exit shop mode, the TV has to be reset. If you need further assistance, please reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.
