I have rca 5020a digital voice recorder and battery teriminal broke ineed to information off of mother board memory. can this be done, please explain how?

Hello, Normally, by pressing and holding the menu button down will lock and unlock the recorder. Since this is not working for you, you can unlock it by opening the battery compartment on the backside of the device and removing one of the batteries and then placing the battery back in and closing back the compartment. This will unlock the device also allowing you to use the functions. When I took the battery out for a split second it did not erase my test recording, but leaving the battery out for a long period of time may erase anything you have saved.
