Used to be that when you turn on the TV the red on light would be solid and TV worked - now red on light is flashing and no picture or sound??

Here's a solution that I received from an TV expert in another website: "This sounds like a power supply problem. i have seen it several time on your model. i would not keep trying to turn it on it might damage something else in the tv. the reason it is shutting off is because the power supply is putting out too much voltage. a repair cost will range around 300-400. this is a great model and well worth a repair. here is a web site that might help you in finding a repairman.
