SOURCE: 1993 Nissan King Cab pickup won't start on hot days

SINCE YOUR PROBLEM IS MOST COMMON WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT ,IT APPEARS THAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE YOUR SOLENOID.REMEMBER ELECTRICAL WIRES ARE BETTER CONDUCTORS WHEN COOL .SO AS THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE GETS HOTTER THE WIRES ABILITY TO CONDUCT CURRENT DROPS OF .SOLENOID INSULATION MIGHT BE BREAKING DOWN AND CAUSING A DROP IN CURRENT THERE BY INHIBITING THE STARTER FROM TURNING . IF NOT CHECK YOUR STARTER MOTOR .EG BRUSHES,AMATURE AND FIELD COILS .

SOURCE: car wont start just keeps trying to turn over

car is going into limp mode or you have a issue with the stock sercurity system. You will need a consult II to find out why the ses light is comming on. There is also a manual procedure but you have to count the light blinking in a pattern. its easier to go to auto zone and have them check the code.

I have a good charge on the battery, and lights turn on as normal when I turn the key, but the engine will not turn over. Note: over the last several months, occasionally, I would have to push the shift...

There is a switch called the neutral lockout switch that has probably failed and needs to be replaced. This switch keeps you from being able to start the car in park. Try putting the transmission in neutral and see if it will start.

Chevy malibu won't crank dashboard functions no theft system issue, turn to on position and makes no sound...could this be the starter?

Most definitely sounds like a starter. Try toggling the key to the start position several times a second until the starter operates. I do this to my 1997 Cadillac Deville occasionally as the weather changes without changing the starter (which probably should be done).

I also have a 1990 Cadillac Deville that does this occasionally.

Must be a GM thing.lol.

Have you replaced the ignition switch? Passkey wire broken can cause no start problem.

Curious, do you have an autostart installed? I had that happen that the Autostart shorted and just kept telling my starter to continue cranking

The Ignition and autostart

Sound like a reversal of wires on the autostart. Should only cut out if you don't have the key in ignition and apply brake. Did you have this installed or was it in when you bought the vehicle?

1997 Jetta GL Alarm

First to turn off the alarm you simply put the key into the drivers door and turn it to unlock the door twice, this is the factory setting to turn off activated Volkswagen alarm. As for the power locks they are air activated, in the trunk near the latch there should be a small electric motor that drives a small air pump with air lines running to all your locks. If this electric motor as worn out your locks will not operate, simple fix replace the motor. I'd try a used one first from a scrap yard to make sure but always check to see if there is power to the motor (you will need another person with a test light to perform this job). Let me know if this works. Vdubs 4-ever !

2008 Toyota Tundra shuts off immediately after starting up

It sounds like you have a bad key-transponder ECU. It should still be under watrranty. This is a known problem, and a bulletin has been distruiibuted to address this issue.

Many autostart devices also have security systems incorperated, first I would try to arm and disarm the system then try to start again. Then check the autostart controll unit to see if there is a reset or fuse. If not a reset often times there is a disable for the autostart witch will allow you to diagnos the starting problem without the aftermarket device. If non of that helps post your next message with an update plus make and model # for the autostart.

Intermittant starting problems

Could be the Crankshaft positioning sensor. Had the same problem with my 2001 DTS. Cost to replace: About $200 from a non-dealer repair shop.
