Insert sim card slot - Motorola Mobility W385 Cellular Phone

this tablet don't use a micro sim card just a micro SD card (memory card)

Ok, I stand corrected. I never knew this technology existed. I looked at your manual and it indeed shows a sim card slot. The manual also gives instructions on how to insert it and what you have to do to make it work.

If that was the message that comes out on your phone after inserting the sim card,Its just means that it is not properly inserted.Try to make sure that it was not inserted in other way,upside down.Try to rechecked the With the metal contacts facedown, align the notch on the SIM card with the notch on the SIM slot and insert the SIM card.If also means that the SIM that yuo are trying to insert has been used and has password on it.Try to insert the SIM to its original phone and unlocked SIM codes.Previous codes has been entered on it.If that is a new SIM there might be problem with the SIM slot.try another SIM card to diagnosed the real problem..Hope this helps..

Initially try by cleaning the sim card slot.
The insert sim card happen due to the problem in Sim card holder slot and the IC related to it.Contact the service center they will check the sim card slot and provide you a solution either by cleaning the slot and PCB board or replacing IC

This is called Dual sim phone. Go to settings and make sure that the Dual Sim is enable. Whe a phone state "Insert Sim" after inserting the sim card, it is most probably that you had inserted the sim the wrong way, so that the gold connectors is not connecting with the phone. Invert the sim card and try. If the problem persist, try the other sim slot.

I think you may check if the problem is from the card slots,may be the sim card doesn't insert deeply or the card slot is loosening,you can try to insert it deeper and tighten the slot.

Solution :

• If your SIM2 that you inserted into SIM1 SLOT remain not working !

1. Your sim card is defected or Phone does not support this sim card!

• If your SIM1 that you inserted into SIM2 SLOT is not working

1. There is a problem with phone's SIM2 SLOT

sounds like either your sim card isnt inserted correctly, or the slots arent turned on. sim card slot 2 is the slot closest to the phone, gold chip faces up, sim card slot one is slightly elevetaed off the phone, gold chip faces down. make sure it is inserted all the way down. perss fimly. then go to SETTINGS>DUAL SIM SETTINGS>DUAL SIM OPEN>CLICK OK. This opens up both sim card slots. after you find out which slot you are going to use, you can repeat these steps and only have opened the one you are using.

1. its mainly due to Sim card get older and bend. So it cannot seat well in its slot.
2. Remove the Sim card. Check whether Sim card is normal. Due to the dust on the Sim also can cause this problem
3. May be the phone's Sim slot pin allignment problem. Check whether the all pins are good.
4. Some times when phone falls to the ground makes the Sim move from its slot. So also this problem occurs.
5. if problem persists even after these diagnosis methods.
