TURN OFF POWER TO UNIT. Open door, remove all torq screws from door panel, separate inner and outer door panel. latch assy is able to be removed, place black wire connector and white white connector back respectively, place inner part of door back and replace the torq screws. Then turn power back on for unit.

I had the same problem with my QS 100. I disconnected power first via the breaker then removed the 11 screws. I couldn't loosen the two electrical connections, but the door pulled far enough away to inspect the handle mechanism. The plastic handle fell out of whole handle assembly rather easily because two molded plastic pins protuding from either side had broken off and were loose inside. There was also a pair of molded plastic v-shaped forks right on the panel to hold the handle assembly and these were damaged but they just to seem to act as guides only (as the handle assembly is held in by two of the screws that were removed). Replacing the v-shaped forks would require a whole new door which I am NOT doing. It looks like I can a replacement handle in the same color with new pins (I am reading they may now be metal) for about ##15. Pretty easy to disassemble and inspect, only about 15 minutes.

handle was redesigned with a metal rod through the attachment points to prevent breaking. the handle and latch comes as a complete assembly (you don't have to put it together).

I have experienced the same problem. You can take a knife and stick the tip under the latch and pull towards you. Will work for a while.
