Okay, this is obvious but first of all make sure this switch on your headset is not on mute. If alls good there go to your dashboard settings and you should see communication and make sure none of these are blocked. If this also isn't the problem it looks like you are going to need a new headset. It should have a years warrenty if that helps?

I had same problem and i tried testing the headset and mic on other things such as on another controller(which was my problem) and mic actually worked. But another problem occurred and it was that i spoke way too low.

you can also check if mic is working by testing headset and mic on computer.

I thought it was supposed to be wireless but I still have to plug it into my controller for people to hear me talk on my tritton WIRELESS primer headset

that's still considered wireless in order for you to talk and hear your friends talk that cord that goes into the Controller to the headset or mixer is the only way you can talk but if you don't want to talk you can go to the settings on the xbox and play though speakers

My xbox 360 mic is acting up. I can talk to people but I can only hear them if the plug is twisted to a certain position

Sounds like a wire broke inside. That's why it only works when you have it in a certain position. Unless you are good at splicing wires, move the wire till you get it to work, and wrap it in that position, then don't move it at all. Good Luck.

My turbo 2 controller wont let me talk on my mic to my friends

The Turbo Fire 2 Wireless is known to cause some incompatibility with headsets.

The first step would be to make sure both your controller and headset are both properly plugged in.

If your headset normally sends normal game sounds to your headset, it will not work with the controller. The sounds are the things you would hear coming out of your TV.

If your headset is incompatible, you can get an OEM or 3rd party Xbox Live headset that only receives voice communication.

When I talk no one can hear me but I hear them

If your X3's microphone is working, you should be able to hear yourself in the headset when you talk into it. Plug the chat-controller cable in both the headset and the controller, then talk into the X31 mic. Can you hear yourself in the headset? If yes, then the microphone is OK but you probably need a new chat-controller cable. If not, then the microphone may be broken and you should contact Turtle Beach tech support at [email protected].
