SOURCE: WD-65734 shuts down code 38

The sensor is usually right by the lamp, somewhere by the housing. There were a few bad batches of temp sensors and some others where the temp sensor connector went bad (hardwiring fixed those) . it usually has yellow wires and should be a short (0 ohms) if good, open (infinite ohms) if bad

SOURCE: WD-65734 Mitsubishi TV won't turn on. System reset

Are there any lights lit on the front of the TV? Have you checked for a bad lamp? When you reset the TV the timer/power light should flash on and off rapidly for 60-70 sseconds. Does that happen?

Model WD-65734. Why is there no picture?

Never heard of a color wheel needing to be replaced. Both cooling fans need to be clean and turn easily. Color wheel fan needs to turn easily. If any one of these motors does not turn, the controller will cause a shut-down. The Xenon lamp uses high voltage to operate. If the power supply was damaged, the lamp won't light. The sparking on the ballast board indicates that dirt or dust may be causing the problem. Also, the clamping diodes and regulator may be defective. If possible, try replacing the lamp power board. Regards.

I need a code for my samsun blue ray to be used with the Mitsubishi wd-65734 remote

The Mitsubishi has a list of its codes in the owner manual and also I think has a search mode---can try all possible codes one at a time.

Mitsubishi wd-65734 65 in. Tv shuts off on its own and red lamp light comes on. after a few minutes i can turn it back on and works fine for a few min to an hr before doing it again. anyone no wat the...

Same thing on my tv after replacing lamp. Lamp manufacturer advised me that after changing bulb, tv must be reset or tv will go into safety mode and will not turn on. To do this on my model WD-65734 you must hold reset button in with a pen or paperclip for about 10 secs. The LED will start blinking for a few mins. When itstops you need to unplug tv set for about 1 hour. After this the tv will be reset.

Hey,, told we need a new power board.. can i do this and an idea of cost??? thanks, Woody.. mitsubishi wd 65734

Hello.
Part number 934c261001. Price $60-$180.
You can't buy Mitsubishi parts from vendors, only direct from Mitsubishi or sources like e-bay.
I can't answer if you can do this by yourself. I don't know how good you are with tools and ability not to break anything while replacing PCB board inside the TV.
In case if you will do it by yourself - please don't forget to unplug TV from wall outlet before start taking it apart. Everything should be accessible from the back of the TV, don't try to remove screen.
Regards.
Russ.

Inputs do not work after power outage

The set has three ways to reset---the tiny button on the front, A second is called a soft reset, and the third requires going into the tech Menu with a code via the remote.

Try the soft reset first and let me know if it helps.

With the set on hit: Menu, 1, 2, 3, and enter.
