Have a new (less than one month) Logik L22/24 FED13 with DVD player, hooked up by an HDMI cable to a Humax T2000 PVR. Yesterday, no snags with anything, today, picture but no sound. Have played a DVD, and have sound, but on just trying to watch TV, or play back something recorded earlier, no sound. Have changed the HDMI cable, and still no sound. The sound is on, and whichever remote I use, there is still no sound. Help!

TV Connectivity
The issue of connectivity between the PS3 and the display is very complex and depends on the type of TV (Analog, Digital or HD Ready), the maker of TV (until recently, only Toshiba TVs have component AV connections as standard in Europe, most other Euro TV sets use SCART which can not carry an HD signal) and specification of TV (the very latest HD Ready TV sets have wider connectivity options than earlier HD "capable" TVs from the same manufacturer which may have lacked HDMI), and finally the configuration of the PS3 model purchased.
SOURCE: HDMI->DVI cable won't work
Are you using a HDMI to DVI cable or are you using a HDMI to DVI adapter? Sometimes, though not on all products you have to go into the menu and select which out put your using for each source and whats going through it. You might need to go into your dvd player menu and tell it not to try to run audio through the cable. That way it's not trying to force a signal through the cable that cant be accepted by the TV. That might possible solve your problem for the DVD player. Let me know if it works

Hi, All.
I ordered a new power supply module on ebay. Cost about 106.00 delivered. Came in a few days. I replaced the unit, bunch of screws, all wires were cable plugins, no problems at all.
After reassembly, it worked. What can I say? Sometimes ya just get lucky.

The way you have it hooked up right now will not work unless you have a coaxial out on your cable box going to the dvd recorder. Even then, picture quality will be severely degraded. The best way to do it is to leave your cable box hooked up to your TV via HDMI and connect your dvd recorder to your cable box via component video if your dvd recorder has a component video input. If it doesn't, then just use the composite video input. That way your picture quality will be better and you will still be able to record with the TV off.

Sorted - unplugged at mains. Left for about 60 seconds, plugged both the TV and PVR back in, and voila, sound restored!d
