I too need this code, if such a code exists. I have found several that control the mute and volume, but none so far control power.

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. We have a few different codes for addressing your remote to your TV for each of our different models of remotes. You should be able to locate your remote model number on the back of the remote at the top usually a 2 to 3 digit number with a decimal point. I will list here for you the best codes for our more popular models of remotes and the instructions for addressing your remote to your LG TV. Instructions for addressing the remote to the TV

1. Turn the Television On.
2. Press and hold the TV Mode button until all the mode lights light up red.
   
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press pound(#) button once.
   Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV.
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

We have code to use with amplifiers, TVs, VCRs, and DVD players. I do not have a code that will work on this sound bar. What is the code you are trying to use? Did Vizio supply a code with your sound bar. They do have codes to use for their TVs to program DISH remotes. Please let me know if you have a code or you can contact Vizio to see if they have a code available.

I have provided the Power Scan instructions on programming the remote to a sound bar. Use the VCR button to attempt to program the sound bar.

Power Scan Instructions Power Scan Instructions

1. While at the sound bar location, point the remote at the sound bar. Press and hold the VCR MODE button on the remote until all four MODE buttons at the top of the remote light up.

2. Press the RECEIVER POWER button on the remote.

3. Press the UP ARROW on the remote, about one press every two seconds. Stop as soon as the sound bar turns off. This process may take several minutes.

4. Press POUND (#) on the remote. The VCR MODE button will flash three times.

(VCR button instead of TV button)

5. Press VCR MODE button, then red TV button on the remote to turn on the sound bar. Press VOLUME on the remote to confirm the remote controls the sound bar. If this does not work, return to Step 1.

Remember to press the SAT MODE button to return to the Satellite mode to change channels.

need 3-digit code to program Vixo sound bar to Dish Network 5.4 IR remote

Get yourself a very thin and small screwdriver. The type that comes in the eyeglass repair kits. Remove the cloth/plastic grill from the front of the sound bar. Locate the IR sensor in the center of the bar. Pry the dark red filter off the IR sensor and leave it off.

Problem solved, greatly increases range. I have read that there is a clear replacement cover you can buy but whats the point?
