I have been testing the unit, knowing exactly where my desired return location is. The distance figures work okay, but the arrow points in the wrong direction. I thought I calibrate it correctly.

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT. EVERYTHING I TOUCH EITHER FROM THE ARROWS OR FROM THE TOP FLASHES GREEN , THAN ONE FLASHED RED , SO i thought it was the hot wire, so i used it on the bottom of the switch and the...

The green light flashes when you turn on the unit, or adjust the sensitivity. Hold the front arrow to increase the sensitivity. Hold the rear arrow to decrease the sensitivity. The unit only senses the hot (black) wire. To test the ground or common, you will need a contace tester, not this non contact tester. Set the new default by adjusting the sensitivity on a known good outlet. When you have reached your desired default sensitivity, press and hold both arrows at the same time for two seconds. The new default sensitivity is now set, and will return to that point every time you turn the unit off, then on again.
This unit is designed to only let you know if you are handling a live wire or not.

Good luck!

I defined the word "dist" for finding the distance

You can delete any object from memory by pressing 2ND [VAR-LINK], use up/down-arrow to highlight the object, press F1, then select 1: Delete.

You can convert any result to numeric by pressing diamond ENTER. If you want all results to be numeric, press MODE F2, down-arrow to the "Exact/Approx" line, right-arrow, and select "APPROXIMATE."

I can't figure out how to make the font size larger

Hello,
Try this solution to change the font size:

1. Press the "Function" key

2. Press the "Left Arrow" or the "Right Arrow" key until the display shows "SIZE".

3. Press the "Function" or the "Return" key. The current selected size setting is displayed and a triangle indicator pointing a sample of the character size above the display.

4. Press the "Left Arrow" or the "Right Arrow" key until the desired Size is displayed.
1. SIZE1 equals Standard Size.
2. SIZE2 equals Double Width.
3. SIZE3 equals Double Height.
4. SIZE4 equals Double Width & Double Height.
5. SIZE5 equals 4 x Width & Double Height.
6. AUTO, the machine will automatically adjust the characters to the largest possible size according to the width of the tape installed in the machine.

Hope this helps.

My 60 csx wont upload map coordinates from a map progamme thats allows this. The compass arrow often points in the wrong direction and the unit on the Go To page does not reliably take me to the desired...

The upload problem is generally communications settings in the software you're using to upload. You could try the freeware EasyGPS to make sure you can really communicate with the unit.

The "invisible waypoint" problem, if that's what you are describing, is generally a function of distance (ie, the unit only shows the closest points). Try sorting by name.

I am having trouble figuring out why my ti 89 has trouble figuring out integrals. for example i know that the integral of x^2 is x^3/3+c but my ti 89 gives me the answer in a decimal of fraction form. i do...

The calculator does not give a result of an integration with a constant. The form of the result will depend ob the EXACT/APPROXIMATE mode you have selected.
In the following screen capture, your integral has been evaluated with mode set to EXACT,AUTO, and APPROXIMATE. Pay attention to the syntax.

60131ab.jpg

To set the computational mode to EXACT, press the MODE button use the Function keys F1,F2 or F3 to move from page to page, point to EXACT/APPROX and use the right arrow key to unfold the submenu, then the Up or Down arrow to select AUTO, EXACT or APPROXIMATE and press ENTER to SAVE Configuration.
If the integral cannot be found in EXACT mode, the calculator will echo the command without calculating the integral.

I have a Rascal 600f scooter that seems 2 work okay except both the power meter and charging meter indicates energy loss wrong. As the power is used the meter very very slowly goes down from full charge...

It is pretty common for the meters on the charger to either not work at all, or give an inaccurate reading. They get bounced and dropped, and they aren't that well built to begin with. Basically, just ignore the charger as long as you are getting a full charge out of it, and getting good distance with each charge.

I have a Comfortmaster Heater Mod# GDE125J20A1 and can't seem to figure out where a filter goes on the unit. Any idea?

Okay the filter on your unit is on top where the duct work connects to the air handler. Should have a panel in the front that will have to remove the flue pipe is right in the middle of it so will have to work around it. The filters are located across the top might be laying flat or at a small angle. On these type of units they are not very easy to change out.

Now in the event that the filters are not there look in the return grills in the ceiling might only have one they put the filters there also.

let me know how it goes. You will need something to stand on to access either place. ken
