The bobbin thread on our Singer CG590 bunches up at the baseplate and stops material feed after 4 or 5 stitches. We have not had the machine very long but have used it extensively with the same material about 15 times. The problem just started all of a sudden. It started doing it during the sewing but now does it when you start sewing. It could be we've dorked up the settings but we're only sewing straight stitch and I can't see how that can be so badly adjusted to cause this problem. We've removed the bobbin case and there's no lose thread or material lodged anywhere that we can see (which is pretty much everything down there.
Any advise would be appreciated.

when you say "bobbin thread bunches up at the base plate" do you mean there are big loops of thread underneath the fabric,
or on top?
