Camera does not read memory card

I get a message telling me that my memory card is full. I know that I have nothing on it and I tried to format it. That did not work either.I tried a new memory card with no success. What else can I try to fix this? It was working fine on my last trip and just died when I was taking another picture. It worked great on taking previous picture just seconds before.

SOURCE: Kodak Easyshare CX7430 losses memory when shut off

I had this same problem. I couldn't get my camera to take anymore pictures while using my SD cards. So alls I did was took my cards to walmart, put all my pictures on a cd and then inserted my card again, when it brought up formating I okayed it to delete all the pictures since I already got them put on a disc. Once I did this is worked fine. Your cards can only hold so much depending on the size of your card and if you have to much on it your camera will not read it. Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: My camera won't accept new 2GB SD card. Keep

Do you have pics on the internal memory? You must format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, format the card.

Getting message on screen of Read Error while trying to solve the "Memory full" message, any ideas?

Memory full, if it is true, you should backup some pictures and delete them from the card.
Read error, can indicate a corrupted file, dirty contacts on the memory card or a camera malfunction.
for 1 backup all photos and format the card. 2. Clean the contacts on the card and in the camera.
3. Contact a FUJI dealer.
Everything is in the manual (still online) on page 112

I put a new card in my camera because my last one was full. Then I took several pictures. All of the sudden i get a message saying "memory card needs formatting." I pressed "ok" format. It deleted all of...

First of all, do you know you're supposed to download the pics from your full card to your computer and then format the card in the camera? Keeping them on the card is risky since the cards are not made for long term storage. The pics can degrade over time. Formatting completely erases a card and that's what happened with your new card. All new cards should be formatted in the camera before using....that's what your camera was trying to tell you.

The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so it is reading protective. Pls. turn the lever.

Your camera Memory card support is: SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte.
If you use any other card. the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.

Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.

Hi,
I do not know whether your camera has an internal memory or not. A model would have helped and i could have given detail instructions. In its absence kindly do the following:
Power on the camera and go into settings. Ususally the method is to go through Menu > Settings. Then explore the settings until you come to date, time, memory area. This is where you can set whether the memory card/stick needs to be formatted. If there is an internal memory then you will see copy and format options. this means that you can copy files from the internal onto your card and also format it if you wish.
Another thing you need to know is that you can tell your camera which memory area to use for storing files. Usually if internal memory is selected, then it needs to be manually switched to external/alternate memory area for storing files.
Go through the manual for detail steps and the manufacturer's website. Otherwise, post your camera model no. here so i can be of more help.

Memory Card Locked

Do you have a computer that will read the "memoery cards"? Try reading the cards. If there is nothing on the card you still should get a message telling you the status. Check the setup of the camera. Some cameras allow you to lock the memory card from setup memu. You might also need to "format" the card before you use them.
