Hi, I have a Samsung LN40A550 LCD TV which I have had for just over a year. ... The T con board is faulty. It is the board with flat ribbon cables going to the bottom of the screen. It is not hard to replace this board. You can get one from here:

buffer board needs replaced need to replace both
