Drive Motor Tachometer Error

The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

• Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive Motor
• Check the MCU
• Check the Wire Harness

This usually occurs during high speed spin and the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the wire harness connections between the Driver motor and the Motor control unit (MCU). If that is fine then check the connection between the MCU & central control unit (CCU), replace the part that has gone bad. I would assume that you are using HE detergent if not the pump could go into a suds lock. You may have a bad drain pump. The other options could be possibly a bad central control unit. (however these are very expensive) or possibly a door lock issue but usually you will get a door lock error.

HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

UNPLUG THE WASHER AND TAKE THE 3 SCREWS THAT ARE ON THE BACK OF THE WASHER OUT AND REMOVE THE TOP PANEL OF THE WASHER. CAREFULLY UNPLUG AND REPLUG IN THE WIRING SO THAT U WONT GET THEM MIXED UP. DO ALL OF THEM, FIRMLY BUT GENTLY. THEN HOLD IN THE SIGNAL CYLCE LITE FOR 3 SECONDS. TRY TO RUN A LOAD AND SEE IF THAT WORKS. IT DID FOR US, SO FAR SO GOOD. GOOD LUCK!!

              We recommend the following when a washer's cycles dont advance..

1. If the washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer does not advance, the timer probably needs to be replaced
   
2. If the timer does not advance while the washer is in a spin cycle, the timer probably needs to be replaced
   
3. If the timer does not advance during the rinse cycle, check whether water has filled the tub, if not, it is likely cold water related. Check the cold water supply valve, check the supply hose for kinks, check the filter screen and check the water inlet valve

I believe this needs a hands on tech to daignose this. Unless you feel you undrstand the problem your self?

cleanlaundry If your washer is less then a year old do nothing and call the manufacturer ASAP. It is under warranty for one year. Gendos...post back
