Oops.. looks like many card errors, as just now i gave reply to 2

Test the memory cards using external card readers connected to computer/laptop and see if it works.
If it doesn't, then it can be formatted from computer and tested on Pentax again.

If still it doesn't work on Pentax then it can also be a small issue of contacts inside attracted dust. You can try using blower to clean dust if any in the place you insert the memory card and try again.

If it doesn't work then it it needs visit to some experienced person/technician/mechanic.

Won't read sd cards

If this happens with the second time, great chance it has nothing to do with the card(s). Your camera should be capable of handling all SD cards. So SD, SDHC and SDXC cards.
But perhaps something came in the memory card holder of your camera. Just a little piece of paper or dust? Please check if all the contacts in the camera are clean and shiny.
Then there is a warning in the manual, about the batteries you can use.
A list of batteries, if used can damage the memory card, because these batteries can't deliver enough power to make writing on a memory card reliable. The warning is on page 14 of the (English) manual. Only one type of battery can be used. Only Ni-MH rechargeable batteries should be used. Although the manual says Alkaline should go to, I have to advice against that. because they too can give less power, in certain situations (like in cold environments)
The memory cards that gave these error messages, should be checked in an external memory card reader on a computer. And when they are connected, please give them a format there (FAT32)
If you had the wrong batteries in the camera, after putting in fully charged NI-MH batteries, you could try to format the cards in the camera too.

Hi - I am getting an error message when i switch on my Sony Cybershot dsc t9 saying access and then it flashes format error C13.01 - can you advise how to resolve?

It might be due to a bad contact of the placed memorycard.

1. Pull the memorycard out and in the camera several times and retry.
2. If not OK, format the card in the camera. If that does not work, format it in the computer.
3. Try another memorycard and recheck.

My samsung s630 says the memory is full. I cleared photos from the sd card and internal memory, but still can only take four pictures in the lowest quality and size setting.

Memory card might gone bad but can do this following troubleshooting step. Formatting a memory ** This is used for formatting the memory. If you run [Format] on the memory, all images, including the protected images, will be deleted. Be sure to download important images to your PC before formatting the memory. Sub menus
[No] : The memory will not be formatted. Press the menu button three times and the menu display will disappear.
[Yes] : A [Processing!] message appears and the memory will be formatted. If you run FORMAT in Play mode, a [No Image!] message will appear. 1d36119.png
Be sure to run [Format] on the following types of memory card.
- A new memory card, or an unformatted memory card
- A memory card that has a file this camera can't recognize or one that has been taken from another camera.
- Always format the memory card using this camera. If you insert a memory card that has been formatted using other cameras, memory card readers, or PCs, you will get a [Card Error!] message. ** There might be bad sectors on your memory card.

Insignia camera turns on beeps three times and turns back off

Three beeps indicates a low battery or other warning. It also indicates error messages, such as memory full or card error. You should try replacing the batteries, erasing files from the memory, or verifying that your memory card is in the correct format and/or not defective. Additional details can be found in the owner's manual.

My sony dsc-w100 digital camera says format error and hangs on. what shall i do??

Take out memory card from camera, turn it On and check does it show format error?
If yes, press Home, Memory option and format internal memory.
If camera does not show format error then put back memory card in and press Home, Memory card option and format it.
This will delete all files/ data and will refresh memory card, take some pictures and check.
If after formatting, still format error exist, put new memory card.

Card error

The internal memory is very small, so that is normal. Make sure the switch on the card is set to unlocked. Also, if the card is over 2GB, it is not compatible with this model, you'll have to try another one. Make sure the card is inserted correctly and that it clicks into place. Verify on the camera screen by checking for a picture of a memory card just under the battery icon. If it says IN, the camera is not reading the card.

If nothing else works, backup your photos and format the card. This will erase all data on the card. You can format the card from the setup menu. (Menu > Setup [Wrench icon] > Format > Yes) Make sure not to use the card with other devices at the same time, it may leave data on the card that the camera cannot read properly.

If none of this helps, see if the camera works without any card. If it does, then the card may be defective, try another one (noting above size limitations).

Error message - Memory card requires formating

Before suspecting the camera, I'd simply try another memory card in it. Memory cards can and do fail and often can behave inconsistently before they fail completely.

Nikon 4600 coolpix

Hello, Many times when someone fools with a memory card and the camera is on, it sort of backfires when the camera is trying to read or write data to the memory card. Error 10 might be attached to a fault in the memory card or system error. Try doing this first: remove you memory card when the camera is off. Remove you batteries so it can reset. Leave the batteries out for 30 secondsthen replace them. Use a brand new SD memory card and then turn on camera. Go to menu and format the new memory card and see if this helps. Good luck.

HElppppppppppppp

Has your camera always done this? Or is this a recent problem.
Also, have you changed your memory card, and that has caused your error?
Some times if you use a higher capacity memory card than the camera can use (especially with the xD card format) you will encounter very wierd errors, as the camera is trying to read or save to the card.

One thing to check is the memory card type. Olympus uses the xD card, BUT in the last couple years they have changed the format, from an xD card to an xD card type "M". The type M has a different file structure, and older cameras, and ones that can't support the "M" format might give odd errors.

I checked Olympus' website and I did NOT find any drivers for your camera, which is odd. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your software, and also check your memory card. If you have an extra around, try using it (I wouldn't recommend go buying a new one as many places do NOT let you return memory cards).
Let me know if this helps!
