1997 GMC Sierra. Bought used with an Audiovox Shock Sensor AS94904P. The battery died and triggered the alarm. Turning the valet switch off does not disarm the alarm. Unable to start the car and hooking up my new battery results in the alarm going off. Any suggestions?

if you need a remote you can buy one from audiovox.com and also you can download the installation manual and user manual in which that will tell you how to program the new remote for the remote start.

Locate the valet/override switch (button), (if you can't locate it, try tracing the wires under the dash from the main unit, usually a black and gray or black and red set of wires). Turn key to "RUN" position then press the button, the alarm's LED should light up solid at this time indicating valet mode as been set.

if thats the picture of the transmitter to program it you have to : turn the ignition to on position. press and release the programming switch 3 times... press and hold, for 3 seconds, the buttonof the transu wish to add until the parking lights flash. this would mean the transmitter has been learned. repeat step 3 for each transmitter... turn the ignition off to exit the program mode..
do not let 15 seconds pass between steps.
