TV has to have an ATSC tuner. Should find it in onscreen menu. Otherwise, you will need a converter box. About $50 at big box stores.

Hi, I have prob with new DAB P7. He do not count dab stations after press S, just blink SD connect??

It sounds like there may be an issue with the DAB radio's reception or configuration. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Make sure the DAB antenna is properly connected and positioned for optimal reception. If the antenna is not properly connected, the radio may not be able to receive any stations.
  2. Try resetting the DAB radio to its factory settings. This may help to clear any configuration issues that are preventing the radio from properly counting stations. Check the user manual for instructions on how to reset the device.
  3. If the above steps do not work, try moving the DAB radio to a different location in your home. Sometimes, radio reception can be affected by nearby obstacles such as walls or large metal objects.
If none of these steps work, you may want to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.

Dish tv support

Hi Vicki,
You may call them at
  • CALL US 1-888-615-3725 for DISH
  • You can also try this steps:
  • MISSING OVER THE AIR CHANNELS The quality of reception and number of channels available depends on the antenna's placement and the customers location. Weather conditions may interfere with channel reception. The Channel Display receiver menu option may not be set correctly.
    1. Check Over-the-Air Antenna ConfigurationCheck that the wiring between your DISH receiver and your over-the-air antenna is configured properly using Setup OTA
    2. Reset ReceiverIf the issue is only on ONE receiver, unplug the DISH receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in.
Please note: It may take up to 5 minutes for the reset process to be completed.
    3. Rescan Over-the-Air Channels to ReceiverAccess "Local Channels" select "Scan Locals" then "Save".

Am fm reception bad

FM reception is weak

What to do

• Extend the power cord as much as possible. The FM antenna is in the power cord.

• Move the power cord to adjust the FM antenna

• If you still have problems with FM reception, you may need an external antenna.

* Call Bose®Customer Service to request one.

The external antenna on your radio is a coax (round) design It needs an adaptor and an antenna which are cheap.

Easy to make, radio shack "F" connector 90 degrees or straight, to 300 ohm wire connections. Attatch a 300 ohm flat ribbon antenna cable to those two screws and plug into radio and see how your reception is. You will need to position the antenna wires to get best reception. I have hid them in back of paintings and so on.

Cheapest solution next to putting an extension cord on radio power cord.

Moved, no longer have cable and not getting any channels via attenna. Is it just bad reception or do I need a digital converter because of the change to digital stations?

Could be bad reception and or make sure the tv which was in the cable mode when you had cable now needs to be in air or antenna mode. IF you have another tv that works ok then you will know the channels just need to be reprogrammed for over the air signal. Go into the menu of tv and find program channels and switch to air or it might say antenna..

I can't seem to get any reception, just noise.

It mostly depends on your antenna location and how far away you are from other radios. The receive gain can be turned up in most radios. I do it here all day long. dodgem250.com

Improve reception

HI there,

Well Yes you can improve the reception, please follow the below steps -

Improve FM Radio Reception -

1. If you don't have an antenna connected to your FM receiver, purchase a simple dipole antenna--a simple T-shape flexible wire-- and connect it to the FM antenna inputs on the receiver. Because FM signals are directional, you'll want to experiment with the positioning of the wire to find the best reception of the station you're trying to receive.

2. If you're still not getting a good signal, try an indoor amplified antenna, which you'll find at an electronics store. Don't buy one unless you get a guarantee that you can return it for full credit if it doesn't solve your reception problems.

3. If your signal is weak because you live a long way from the transmitter, install an outside antenna and mount it as high as is practical. If you're primarily interested in getting signals from one station or from a group of stations in one direction, get a directional antenna and point it toward the transmitters.

4. If you're using a portable FM radio where the only antenna is the power cord, stretch the cord as straight as possible and experiment with positioning again.

5. Temporarily switch to monaural mode to improve a weak signal on an FM receiver.

Improve AM Reception -

1. Gradually rotate the radio 360 degrees. Leave it in the position where it sounds best.

2. Reverse the AC plug if it isn't polarized. (If you can flip the plug over, then it's non-polarized.)

3. Plug the radio into a different AC outlet.

4. Move the radio closer to a window.

5. Experiment to learn if appliances and powered products in your home are causing interference: computer monitor, television, electric blanket, light dimmer, fluorescent light, hair dryer, air conditioner, smoke detector. If possible, turn off the offending item. Otherwise, move the radio to another room.

6. Upgrade to an external antenna if your receiver, tuner or radio has a place to connect one.

7. Buy a passive AM antenna that doesn't need to be connected to a radio or receiver.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

We have a Grundig S350DL radio that was my father's. There is no manual. FM works great. Can't get AM. Radio turns off on its own!! Any suggestions?

Hello,
The problem you are having may be due to some configuration settings (such as a timer). Not dtecting the AM signal, may be due to interference from power lines. To improve AM reception (if there is something to improve) one should rotate the radio to orient the internal ferrite antenna. Using the radio close to a window can improve reception.
To enable you to diagnose the problems that may be due to some configuration setting I give you the link to the radio's manual.

Hope it helps.

Off air antenna hook up

You probably have to set the tv to run on the input jacks your antenna is plugged in to. In other words these newer tv's have 2 or 3 inputs and they only run on the input it is set on, if not the right one you must change the setting. On mine there is a button next to the on/off button on the set which is inputs, keep pressing that button and it cycles through inputs till you get the right one. When tv first comes on it flashes the name of the current input on the screen--think they all do that. If input is hdmi, it refers to the hdmi socket, if composit (I think) then it refers to the rca jacks that are red, white, yellow, may be more than one of either. In this way you could have cable on one input, a video player on another, and cable on still another by switching desired input. I use a UHF antenna but it didn't work till I got the right input and then searched for stations studying the menu for station setup, have to set up the stations first, it will configure settings for each station, and have it do that before you can expect to find and receive stations. With correct input you should get a blue screen or something with printing if input is right, click your menu button and will see the menu and then find where to configure stations setup, otherwise it is totally black and nothing happens, nothing responds, that's the wrong input.

On the converter box that we hooked up we are geting every channel except 5-1 5-2

Any -1, -2 channles considered as a off-air antenna channels. I assume you have the off-air antenna and good reception on it. So make sure your off air antenna hooked up to your receiver.

If everything is hooked up right and your reception on antenna is good, try to trace the line for your antenna. may find any visual problems such as loosen up, dog chewed the cable etc :D

Last thing if you don't find solution by yourself is call your service provider for service call.

Good luck
