When it shuts down have you tried accessing the self diagnosis feature to retreve the error code?If so whats the blink code your getting?

I presume you unplugged the set and redid the check:

2,3 is deflection circuit problem (probably in Horizontal sweep circuit) and can be almost anything---check output transistors and look for cracked or bad cap in that area.

The error code is only a general indication of the kind of problem and this one is like saying car will not start etc.

IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

22 / Short Protect Shutdown
23 / Horizontal Deflection failure
24 / Vertical Deflection failure

try to check it again as these are the only codes for your model.
3. Error Codes
The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:
“12” ... indicates no error has occurred.
“21” ... X-Ray Protect circuit.
“22” ... Short Protect circuit.
“23” ... Horizontal Deflection failure.
“24” ... Vertical Deflection failure.

The problem is most likely convergence integrated circuit failure. I recommend finding a local Mitsubishi repair center.

Loss of horizontal deflection is what code 23 means in that model.

Replace C411 & 412 on main board first.
