When reattaching the outer cabinet to my kenmore washer, how do I get the little brass clips that hold the control board to the cabinet, back into the slots where they are supposed to fit. I have applied pressure with a board and even tried to slam them in with a hammer, but they will not pop in. the man on You tube made it look very easy.

If they won't go back into the slots pull the frame out and reinstall it it's not lined up with the back wall correctly, you have to drop the frame in place get the back wall and line up the outside edges the plastic strips and make sure they go into the frame and then push down on the frame where the clips go in,if the frame isn't down you'll never get the clips in

    when you install the
cabinet the front bottom has to go under the bottom frame part where the legs are on the floor,if the cabinet isn't low and down all the way you'll never get the clips in

SOURCE: Kenmore 70 series Model: 22702 100 Series CL2738136 Type 111 will not hold water

the drain pipe in the wall needs to be as tall as the cabnet of the washer. if it is the see how much hose is going into the drain pipe. should only be about 9 to 12 inches into the pipe. any more than that will cause a syphon and suck the water out as it fills

SOURCE: Difficulty installing brass clips on kenmore model 110.92274100

first off the clips should go right in place if the cabinet is installed properly..with the lid open tip the cabinet and place it in place.. the very front of cabinet must go UNDER the front frame plate of washer. And the side then sit atop the frame.(in the very rear, perhaps 2 inches in from either side there is as a small slot cut into the cabinet and a corresponding tab on the washer frame itself. it should literally sit right into place(might take a little finagling, but it'll fit nicely.. when this happens the brass clips, will first hook into the back wall of cabinet and then with a little pressure push and snap into the cabinet you removed

SOURCE: my kenmore washer is overfilling even though I changed the pressure switch

The clear plastic tube runs from the pressure switch to the air dome on the lower right-hand side of the wash tub. If the air dome end of the hose were loose, water would begin to spill out of the bottom of the washer when the level in the tub reaches only a few inches.

If the washer is filling the tub completely, but your pressure switch is not shutting the water off, you will need to confirm you have a good electrical connection, and that you do not have a small hole in the air hose somewhere. It is possible for the air hose to develop leaks where it contacts the washer casing and begins to chafe. If your electrical connections to the pressure switch are secure, trace the wires back to the timer and make sure you have good continuity. There should be a wiring diagram located under the operator console. Please refer to the following link for instructions on how to access the inside of your washing machine:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385250-replacing_motor_coupling_kenmore_top

I know the instructions are for replacing a motor coupling, but the steps are still the same for opening the console and removing the outside washer casing. Please let me know, if you require further assistance. If you don't get anywhere with this advice, please post back with your complete model number. It may help me further with diagnosing your problem. I hope this provides you with a solution.

PS I apologize for taking so long getting back to you.

Wont spin unless you use a tool to depress the contactor in the little slot on top of washer lid..seem like the piece is loose or has lost a screw..works and spins fine if you hold piece down with...

You cant raise the lid. You have to take the sides off the top panel, and unscrew the two phillip head screws. Then remove the two brass clips(very strong). Then pull the whole cabinet off. Then repair lid sw. Be carefull when putting cabinet back on, you have to make sure the back of cabinet goes on the rail with the clip into it, if you dont put back on right it will vibrate.

Water valve replacement

DON'T OPEN THE BACK!!!! This is done from the front. You must remove the outer cabinet first. UNPLUG YOU WASHER BEFORE CONTINUING! 1.) Remove the 2 phillips screws on either side of the control panel and rotate the panel up and out of the way. 2.) There are 2 brass colored clips under the panel. One on either side. Poke your screwdriver into the slot (the tip of your screwdriver will be facing down) and pry backwards toward the wall to remove these. 3.) Disconnect the white electrical connector that's plugged into the top of the cabinet. 4.) Now tilt the entire cabinet toward you. Bring it to a 45 degree angle... this will release the clips. Then lift and pull it off of there and set it aside. You now have access to the water valve.
