Lost the os, am running xp but no disc, old famliy computer trying to get the actaul tablet apps.
I can get you a copy of the 2005 xp tablet edition os, you would have to use your own cd key and activation to make it legal. Although it will install with it's own cd key, licensing requires you to use legal activation and the key that came with your unit. Check with mpcdrivers.com
I know it might not be...moral...but there are OEM ISO versions of XP Tablet Edition out there on bitorrent sites. Now I DO NOT CONDONE downloading one and using the Key supplied in the torrent, I simply am telling you a method to get your hands on an OEM Restore Disc from HP.
Your COA is located under your battery on your tablet. Use that COA in conjunction with the downloaded ISO to remain 100% legal.

Have you checked if there is a rescue partition on the harddrive? I know most new notebooks don't come with a software cd and all the information is kept on a secondary rescue partition.
I had downloaded an app to change the way my apps appeared on the screen of my Rica tablet then heard that it had give my friend a problem so I deleted it and now my tablet will not go past the first load screen
