Mitsubish WS-819 Protective Shutdown. 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks

Hello!I have a Mitsubishi 55'' Projection TV, model WS-55819. This afternoon it started turning back off after about 1-2 seconds. Reading other answers, it sounds like it's going into protective shutdown. Pressing Menu/Input together for 5 seconds as I read in an answer from SLinteriors, I get 2 blinks, pause, and then 2 blinks again.Any suggestions would be great.I'm a pretty technical person, in general, but don't have too much experience inside TVs specifically. Thanks,MashRinx

Over 95% of the time a 2 - 2 blink code on that model is a convergence output problem. You need to replace both of the convergence output IC's and perhaps the pico fuses feeding them voltage. The pico fuses are F9A04 and F9A05. They are on the same board with the convergence outputs.

My Projection Tv - when I turn on it turns right back off no picture no sound ? help

To know where the problem is:

when set shuts off and green power light goes off:

On front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons at same time for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like: 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

Mitsubishi WS-55909 dm board repair

The DM is fine if the led isnt blinking. Your set is going into protective shutdown. Try pressing the menu and the device/input buttons on the set both in together for 5 seconds to see if the set will blink a series of blinks pause then blink another series of blinks. Such as 2 blinks pause then 2 blinks, Then let me know what the blinks were and I will assist you with whats wrong

Mitsubishi ws-55819

Code 22 indicates that your set is in shut down due to what is called Short Protect. The most likely cause is the Converge Ic's drawing too much current and opening one or 2 fuses. Normal repair cost varies by area and servicer. Expect 250 to 350 plus the service call. I normally do this on site.

You will find a very good guide here and here to fix your TV.
This might not be a DIY if you do not feel comfortable. The repair shops charge about $350.00 to $400.00 for this type of repair.
