BAD DIRECTSOUND DRIVER, you install your sound card driver properly and use CODEC PACK to support any audio and video format...

sounds like the sound card is dying, or the sound codec's are wrong.

It sounds like you may need to Update the Drivers. If not you may have a Bad Sound Card.

check the sound drivers in device manager. if it gives yellow sign then re-install sound drivers.

download and install the latest " Microsoft direct X " which I think is version 9

you need to install the compatible relatek high definition audio driver. go to www.driverguide.com and download and install the driver compatible to your hardware. If its a branded computer go their website and download the drivers from there.
