Water won't spray

Originally had a clogged drain, resulting in an F2 function alert, which has been resolved. However, now, when water enters the unit, it doesn't spray. Sprayer doesn't spin, either.

  • lapgitrdun6 May 29, 2009

How do I remove the arm? And the original clog was in the sink drain, not the unit. However, I will check it out!

  • lapgitrdun6 May 29, 2009

I also don't hear any sound, either. Would I hear the pump trying to work?

Sounds like whatever caused the clogged drain may also have clogged the sprayer arm.  If it is clogged it will not spin.  Remove the arm and if it is clogged see if you can clean it out.

  • John Morganti May 29, 2009

You should hear the pump.  If you cannot hear it then do not bother to check the spray arm.  It's not working because the pump is not pumping.  You need to get it checked.

Numatic George Wet/dry vacuum won't spray - Only a very very very faint buzzing sound can be heard putting my ear right next to the machine.

There are a few potential causes for why your Numatic George wet/dry vacuum is not spraying and only producing a faint buzzing sound. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the water level: Make sure that the water level in the tank is sufficient and not too low. If the water level is too low, it can cause the spray function to malfunction.
  2. Check the water supply hose: Make sure that the water supply hose is properly connected and not kinked or damaged.
  3. Check the spray nozzle: Make sure that the spray nozzle is not clogged and is able to rotate freely. If the nozzle is clogged, it can prevent the spray function from working properly.
  4. Check the motor: If the motor is not functioning properly, it can cause the spray function to malfunction. To check the motor, you can try running the vacuum without the hose or attachments to see if it is functioning properly. If the motor is not functioning properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take the vacuum to a professional for repair.

My Samsung vrt stopped and said SE? Went to start over and rinse and it just stops during rinse with water still in it.what do I do

The'5E'Error is displayed when thewater is not drainingproperly from the Washing Machine. If the water doesnot drain in 15 minutes, a buzzer will sound , and the remaining time indicator will show '5E' Error.

You can perform following steps to resolve the issue :
? Clean the debris filter.
? Make sure the drain hose is not clogged. To make it unclogged, Detach the drain hose from washing machine. Attach the spray nozzle to the end of the hose. Aim the sprayer into the clogged washer hose and spray water kinetically down the hose. Continue spraying until the hose is no longer clogged.
? Make sure the drain hose is not frozen.
? Make sure the drain hose is installed correctly.

What does f2 messege mean?

F2 This error code indicates that drain times are longer than expected.
If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing. Keep in mind that any water in the washer will pour out of the hoses when removed.

My Kenmore dishwasher does not drain out, What could be the problem?

No drainage, or poor drainage issues are usually caused by either a failed drain pump, or the sump area under the sprayer is clogged with debris. The sump is the area at the bottom of the tub where water collects on the initial fill. A wash pump cycles the water throughout the wash cycle, followed by the same water being drained from the unit by means of a drain pump. This area is usually covered by a coarse screen and fine screen to prevent debris from accumulating. But, over time, some debris may still get past the screens and collect in the sump. This usually results in poor cleaning results due to restricted water flow through the spray arms, and poor draining.

I would recommend you remove the lower spray arm and screens and check the sump area for obstructions. If the unit still has standing water inside, use a wet/dry shop vac to drain. Remove the drain line from your sink and pull a vacuum on the end of the dishwasher drain hose. If the water drains freely from the unit, then you probably have a bad drain pump. If the water will not drain, you have a clog somewhere. Check your drain lines and pump for obstructions.

If you have any questions, please post back with a MODEL NUMBER. I hope this helps you.

The haeir window ac unit is tilted to the back but the water won't drain it is spraying out the front vents when running

From what you have described, it sounds like the drain pan under the unit is clogged. Cleaning and unclogging it, should solve the problem. In the meantime, discontinue using the AC until the problem is solved. As the water spraying out the vents, could cause and electrical short in the unit. That's in addition to getting water on your floor.

My washer will not drain. At first it was giving the normal error messages like LF, so we had the drain piped to see if it was clogged. Now the washer fills up and does not drain. I have a Whirlpool...

Hi,

Thanks for using FixYa. Error LF means long fill, which flashes when the water level won’t change for a period of time after the valves are turned on or the water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change. TO resolve this issue check if the water supply is turned on and the hose screens are not plugged or kinked. If the water is not entering the machine then check the water valve, also check the pressure hose connection to the machine/motor control. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

I have an HE 3 front loading washer and I am having problems with

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F2 error means Long Drain. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F2" is flashed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. Also, check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. Then check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. If still the issue is not resolved then replace the pump.

No water sprays after resetting an F2 fucntion problem

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.
