Sounds like you have a defective microphone in your handset. Maybe caused by dropping of phone or water damage. Try land line phone not cordless. Just to ensure that you can hear the caller and can be heard over your phone line.

If you can complete a call successfully go and purchase another cordless phone.

How i can delete the caller id list?

1. With the handset in idle (off) mode, press and hold the DELETE key to delete. The screen displays ERASE ALL NO YES. The current choice flashes.
2. Press up-arrow until YES flashes.
3. Press SELECT. You'll hear a confirmation beep.

The above is from the "Caller ID" section of the manual (beginning on page 22 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

How do I program the machine to record messages? My message plays, but there is no record of my recording when I leave a message?

You have announce set to on, where callers can hear your message but cannot leave one of their own.

The instructions for changing this are on page 28 of the manual at
http://vt.vtp-media.com/ecp/documents/product_Product/69/UserManual/1639/ia5854_manual_bkm.pdf

Coller ID Inoperative

Here is the tip directly from the manufacture vtech. Tip 1 of 1 Caller ID and Call Waiting ID are subscription services, available from most local telephone service providers. You must subscribe to these services in order for the features to work on your phone. Contact your local telephone service provider for more information. In addition, your caller must be calling from an area that supports caller ID. Both you and your caller?s telephone service provider must use compatible caller ID systems. Caller ID and Call Waiting ID may not be available for every call. Common reasons are incompatibilities between your and your caller?s service, transmission errors and answering calls before the ID data is received. They state that if you have further problems, to contact customer support at 1-800-595-9511. Also, who is your phone service provider? And who is the manufacture of the old phone? If this does not help, please post further. Also, please rate this solution through fix-it. Thank you.
