Switch on the HP Officejet 6700 series printer and wait until the printer is READY. [The Power light should be on]
Double click on OJ6700_R1435A.exe to launch the HP Printer Update utility. A list of OfficeJet 6700 Premium series printers detected will be displayed on the screen.
Note: If the Wired network printer you wish to upgrade is not displayed in the detected printer list, click on the Refresh button to scan for printers connected via the wired network.
Click on the checkboxes on the left to select single or multiple OfficeJet 6700 series printers you wish to upgrade.
Click on the Update button to start the firmware flashing process.
Message showing "The selected printer has been updated successfully" will be displayed. Firmware flashing will begin.
CAUTION! Do not interrupt the printer during the upgrade process. Printer may be damaged if power is interrupted during the firmware upgrade process.
When the printer has successfully completed the flashing process, it will automatically print out a Self Test Diagnostic Page, that will show the new firmware version.
Click on the Done button to close the HP Printer Update utility.
Please follow the below steps.
STEP 1.
1. Un plug the power chord from the back of the printer.
2. Press and hold the power button of the printer.Wait for 30 seconds.
3. While holding the power button, re-plug the power cable.
4. Turn on the printer, if it is not on.
STEP 2.
Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.
2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.
Try resetting the printer using following steps:
1. When your printer is on, unplug the wire that goes to the computer.
2. Presee and release (#) and (*) buttons.
ou will see your display say "Support Menu"
3. Scrolls to the right until you see "resets" and pess ok
4. Select "semi-full reset" and hit OK
5. After printer turns off, turn it back on 30 seconds later.
unplug it from the computer and unplug it from the wall socket and hold the power button down for 60 seconds then replug it back in to the computer and plug the power back on then turn it on.
The solution to this problem is to have a Class-Action-Lawsuit against HP.
The idea that HP can sell ten's of thousands of these kind of defective products that just to end up in a Land-Fill is not only immoral but also ILLEGAL.
