Canoscan lide 25 no power, tried everything

Hi
ive a canon lide25 on a mac, been working fine for about a year.
but now when i plug it in there's no power to it, or no response
from the printer, no lights or sound like it did before.

I've tried several different cables and on 2 different new mac
but no joy... double checked the usb2 ports and all work fine
with other devices that need power.

is it broken or is there something else i can try?
