I suggest try to use an external monitor to see if the machine will display an output through the external display, if you have display to your external monitor, it means the LCD on your machine is not working.

see if you can boot into safe mode as the pc starts tap F8 - should be presented with a menu - choose "safe mode" from the menu if that works, then try a system restore to before the problem started start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore choose a date before the problem started

try this put off the laptop and remove the battery and the power cable and then hold the power button from 30-60 seconds then put back the power cable(without battery) and switch it on it should work then shutdown and put battery pack in
